Cartooning Texas
|
The Texas Council for the Humanities describes Cartooning Texas as “both a cartoon history of Texas politics and a history of political cartooning in Texas. It tells the story of one hundred years of events in Texas, 1890-1990, in a form that is wonderfully visible and precise. Cartooning Texas originated as a humanities exhibit and a companion publication developed by Maury Forman and Robert A. Calvert for the Center for Texas Studies at the University of North Texas supported by a grant from Texas Council for the Humanities State Partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. It has been organized as a photo-and-text panel exhibit for travel by Texas Council for the Humanities Resource Center.” The Exhibit will be open until November 15.
